Nokia Lumia 620 selling very well. Lumia 920 and 800 are the most popular WP8 devices at the moment
Although it’s been only several months since it became available around the world, the Nokia Lumia 620 is already among the best-selling Windows Phone 8 devices out there.
According to data gathered by AdDuplex (based on the usage of 494 Windows Phone apps), the Lumia 620 now accounts for %6 of the total number for WP8 devices around the world.
At launch, the Lumia 620 was Nokia’s cheapest Windows Phone 8 handset. Since then, it’s been dethroned by the Lumia 520, released just recently for less than €200.
Affordable Lumias aside, the high-end Lumia 920 is now the most used Windows Phone 8 device in the world, sharing the top position with the old Lumia 800 (both with %14). It’s a significant change from last month, when the Lumia 800, 710 and 610 were all ahead of the 920.
Interestingly, in the US the Lumia 920 is second to Verizon’s Nokia Lumia 822, while the HTC 8X is on the third position.
As you can see below, Nokia is – unsurprisingly – the major Windows Phone 8 handset manufacturer, with %80 of devices being Nokia-branded. HTC follows with $14, then comes Samsung with %5.
Let’s hope we’ll find out exactly how many Lumias (in millions) Nokia has sold this quarter when it announces its financial results for Q1 later this month. Until then, for more on the state of Windows Phone 8 around the world, go here at AdDuplex.
