Samsung Galaxy S4’s launch delayed one day in the UK
Last month, when Samsung announced the brand new Samsung Galaxy S4, it said the smartphone would be available in the UK starting April 26.
Unfortunately for those who are eagerly waiting to get the handset, it looks like this will be released one day later, on April 27.
Reportedly, The Inquirer received word on the delay from a Samsung staffer at the company’s flagship Stratford Westfield store in London (where new Samsung devices are usually sold first). There are no details on what may have caused the slight delay.
All important British mobile networks and retailers are going to sell the Galaxy S4. However, only EE will offer an LTE-ready version of it. Prices for a SIM free S4 (16GB) will start at about £570.
Like the S III and S II before it, the Galaxy S4 is Samsung’s flagship Android smartphone that’s going to fight every other high-end smartphone introduced this year – including Apple’s upcoming iPhone 5S / 6. It will be available in two colors for the beginning (black and white), coming with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, a 5 inch Super AMOLED display (1920 x 1080 pixels), Smart Scroll, S Translator, NFC, 13MP rear camera with Dual Shot and LED flash, 2GB of RAM, 2,600 mAh battery, and MicroSD card support (up to 64GB).
