LG Optimus G Pro launching at AT&T on May 10 to take on Samsung’s Galaxy S4 and HTC One
Like the Optimus G Pro that’s already available in South Korea (where it passed the 500,000 units sold mark), AT&T’s version comes with a 5.5 inch Full HD display (1920 x 1080 pixels). Many other high-end features are included: LTE connectivity, VuTalk, QSlide 2.0, quad-core 1.7GHz Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera with LED flash, Dual Recording, 2.1MP front-facing camera, a 3,140 mAh battery, 32GB of internal memory, and MicroSD card support. The handset will run Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean at launch.
Customers will be able to buy the LG Optimus G Pro from AT&T on May 10. Pre-orders should start a week earlier, on May 3, here (the link isn’t live yet). It looks like the handset will be available only in a black color version for the beginning. The second largest US mobile carrier is asking $199.99 (on contract) for it – the same price that you have to pay for the Samsung Galaxy S4, or the HTC One (32GB edition).
