Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 gets a new color version in mid-June

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has so far been available only in white. That’s actually an exception from the way things usually work in the mobile world, where at best there will be two colors out at launch (white and black, generally), but sometimes just a darker hue first, followed by a white edition a few months afterwards to aid in recreating some hype for the device. Not this time, though. It’s been white all the way for now.

But new color variations for the Galaxy Note 8.0 are on the way. We’ve seen red and grey listed already in Germany, yet there  apparently is a fourth option in the works too.

SamMobile has heard from Samsung’s own arm in Benelux (Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg) that a Brown Black Galaxy Note 8.0 will see the light of day in or around the 25th week of this year. That starts on June 17 and lasts until June 23. So by mid-June we should see what ‘Brown Black’ actually means, since right now we unfortunately don’t have a picture of this model to share. It does sound intriguing, though, that much is clear.

Both the Wi-Fi-only and the Wi-Fi + cellular data versions of the Galaxy Note 8.0 will get clad in the new color, so if mixing up brown and black is your idea of perfection then you should be covered regardless of which one you buy.

If a black 32GB version was available the day it was launched, I would have bought one that day, without hesitation.

Now it’s looking increasingly more likely that I will go with the new Nexus 7 (to replace my old Nexus 7). If the new one has a 7.7″ screen, I will probably buy two. :-)
