Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 LTE, S4 Active and Ace 3 all appear at the Bluetooth SIG
Samsung announced only one new-generation Galaxy Tab, namely the Tab 3 7.0, which is positioned as an affordable tablet. But what about the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, and the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1? Well, at least one of them should be officially unveiled pretty soon – and it’s probably going to be the 8 inch one.
Last month, we’ve seen the Wi-Fi-only Galaxy Tab 8.0 (model number SM-T311) showing up at the Bluetooth SIG, and now an SM-T315 has also been approved by the SIG. Since the SM-T310 is believed to be the 3G versions of the tablet, this SM-T315 is likely the LTE-capable model.
Other two and announced Samsung Android devices seen at the Bluetooth SIG recently are the Galaxy S4 Active (GT-I9295 – see here) and the Galaxy Ace 3 (GT-S7272 – see here). The S4 Active has even appeared at Samsung’s own website (XML file) – this confirming its Full HD (1920 x 1080) display. From what we’ve heard until now, the handset should be a waterproof and dustproof version of the Galaxy S4. But it might look quite different – we’ll know for sure when the handset is announced (perhaps in July).
As for the Galaxy Ace 3 GT-S7272, this might be announced at the end of May, or in early June. It’s going to run Android Jelly Bean, sporting a 4 inch WVGA display. The first-generation Galaxy Ace and the Ace 2 were both really successful, and Samsung is certainly hoping that the new Ace 3 will follow in their footsteps.
