White LG Nexus 4 shows up in Dubai ahead of Google I/O. May not get to Moscone Center in time

With Google annual I/O developer conference opening later today, mobile side of it is likely to be a bit disappointing.

From all things that already leaked and that didn’t leak, its pretty much clear that there won’t be a new major Android update announced today. The best we can expect – is a new point iteration of Jelly Bean – 4.3. We’ll have to wait another 6 months for the Key Lime Pie – the fifth generation of Android. And with no new major OS upgrades, there most likely won’t be any new interesting phone announcements, either. Unless, the possible  Google Edition of Samsung Galaxy S4, running that latest iteration of Android, sounds exciting.

Or, maybe, a new color version of LG Google Nexus 4, which popped-up at Qualcomm’s stand at The Mobile Show in Dubai, few days ago.

Except for the white back, there’s nothing really interesting or new about this device. But LG seems finally getting a grip on Nexus 4 production problems, which plagued its supplies for months. So another color version to choose from, might be interesting for quite a few Android aficionados.

Whether this white LG Nexus 4 is a real upcoming retail model to be announced soon, or if this is just a prototype never meant to see Google’s Play Store – is anybody’s guess. So don’t get your hopes up too much, to carry one out from Moscone Center, today.

Anyway – here’s a short video of white Nexus 4, that guys from Tech View captured recently:
