Sony Xperia UL with Snapdragon 600 CPU gets photographed for the first time, shows all angles
The upcoming Sony Xperia UL has been caught in the wild for the first time, and a few photos resulted. This is the first time we get a look at the Xperia UL, a smartphone that was first rumored in March. Back then we heard it would be headed to Japan, and more specifically to KDDI, one of the carriers over there.
The Sony Xperia UL is going to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage, and a 2,300 mAh battery, according to both the first rumor on the matter as well as information sent to CNMO today alongside the pictures you can see below.
Whether or not this device will be a KDDI exclusive or not is up for debate at this point. It might have a version tailored to that carrier’s requests, but then who knows, maybe it will get an international launch as well.
With the updated chipset, you might even call this a successor of sorts to the Xperia Z, Sony’s current flagship smartphone. But with the fabled i1 in the works too, things are bound to get a little crowded at the higher echelons of the Japanese phone maker’s roster.
