Sony Xperia Tablet Z not shipping today after all, now delayed to May 29
Sony’s online store now shows May 29 as the shipping date for the first pre-orders of its latest tablet. If the date doesn’t get changed again, it means we’re only talking about a five day delay here, so nothing horrible really. That said, if you’re the early adopter type and like to count the hours before a new bit of kit is shipped to you, then you may have an issue with the situation.
Obviously you can still pre-order an Xperia Tablet Z straight from Sony’s website. You are required to pay $499.99 for the 16 GB model, and you’re being offered free ground shipping to go with it.
The Sony Xperia Tablet Z has a 10.1-inch 1,920×1,200 touchscreen, a quad-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2 GB of RAM, an 8 MP autofocus rear camera with 1080p Full HD video recording, a 2 MP front camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 6,000 mAh battery. It’s dustproof and water-resistant and it runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
