Verizon Motorola Droid RAZR HD and Droid RAZR M now available in blue
The blue Motorola Droid RAZR HD and the similarly colored Motorola Droid RAZR M are now both available to order at Verizon. The still Motorola flagship Droid RAZR HD can be yours for $99.99 with a new two-year contract. That’s definitely a decent price for what is Moto’s best specced handset out there, but the truth is that the Droid RAZR HD is getting rather long in the tooth in this day and age that is dominated by 5-inch 1080p Full HD quad-core or octa-core offerings.
The Droid RAZR M is even more of a deal, since it can be yours for free with a new two-year contract with Verizon. The midranger is definitely priced to sell, and maybe the new color will help to instill some new life into these models.
However, there is one thing you need to know. The Droid RAZR HD is only ‘blue’ in the loosest possible sense of the word. The only blue things on it are a band that’s just a couple of mm thick and which runs around the screen, as well as the power button (yes, really, that is blue). Everything else is as black (or grey) as it’s ever been. This is taking ‘color options’ to a whole new level. First we had ‘white’ phones that really only had a white back cover, and now this… so be advised.
The situation is better in the case of the Droid RAZR M, but that’s still not actually all blue, as you can see. The back is grey, as is the front of the device, but this handset is distinctively more blue than its bigger brother even so.
