White LG Nexus 4 officially announced, will be available starting tomorrow

LG has announced the upcoming launch of a white Google Nexus 4 – the one first seen a couple of weeks ago.

Perhaps a bit disappointingly, the white Nexus 4 doesn’t run a newer version of Android. It’s the same 4.2 Jelly Bean that came with the black edition of the handset in November last year. There’s nothing different under the hood, so you’ll get a 4.7-inch True HD IPS Plus display, 2GB of RAM, and a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. Prices should remain unchanged as well, starting at $299 for the 8GB version.

The two previous Nexus smartphones – Samsung Nexus S and Samsung Galaxy Nexus – were released in black and white editions, so it’s not really surprising to see the Nexus 4 getting a white paint job, too.

LG Nexus 4 official launch May 29

The white LG Nexus 4 will be available starting tomorrow, May 29, first in Hong Kong. It’s going to be sold “in select markets” across Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East over the next several weeks.
