BlackBerry Q10 pre-orders begin at Verizon
Verizon Wireless is now taking pre-orders for the BlackBerry Q10 – the second new smartphone to come out of Canada this year (after the Z10, of course).
Verizon’s Q10 costs $199.99 with a new 2-year contract agreement, or $599.99 sans contract. That’s the same price you have to pay for the Z10.
You can pre-order the Q10 online here, in either black, or white. The largest North American carrier says the smartphone will be shipped “by June 6.”
T-Mobile and Sprint will also sell the BlackBerry Q10 in the US. Only the former has revealed a proper launch date (June 5).
Already available in Europe, the Q10 features a 3.1 inch Super AMOLED display with 720 x 720 pixels, LTE, NFC, dual-core 1.5GHz TI OMAP 4470 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage space, 2MP front-facing camera, 8MP rear camera with Flash, and a 2,100 mAh battery.
Earlier this month, BlackBerry announced a new and cheaper QWERTY smartphone – the Q5. This will be released around the world starting July.
