XT1055 might be a Motorola X Phone for US Cellular

Motorola hasn’t introduced a single new smartphone in the US since 2012. But it will do it starting “late summer”, when the long-rumored Moto X is going to be released.

Motorola and Google are planning to launch several versions of the handset (also called X FON in some reports) via all major US carriers.

From previously leaked details, Verizon’s Motorola X is the XT1060, the AT&T version is the XT1058, while Sprint is going to have the XT1056. Now it looks like US Cellular’s Moto X has been discovered, too, as the XT1055 which received FCC’s stamp of approval earlier today. The XT1055 obviously comes with US Cellular-friendly LTE connectivity.

There have been numerous leaked photos that allegedly showed the Moto X (or at least one of its variants), so here’s what the handset might look like:

T-Mobile’s Motorola X version hasn’t been discovered yet, but it probably will be soon.
