Samsung’s South Korean fans are getting angry about rumored Snapdragon 800, LTE-A Galaxy S4 launch
After universal praise Samsung’s Galaxy Sx flagships got during previous years, their newest one – Galaxy S4 – is getting much colder reception than expected.
First there was way over the top SGS4 launch event, then we got complaints about lack of design update from Galaxy S3 and hodgepodge collection of software apps in the new TouchWiz UI. Then, only a couple of weeks after the highly trumpeted 10 million Galaxies S4 shipped in 26 days announcement, came the news about some serious slowdown in SGS4 sales.
And now we have news reports from South Korea, that fans over there are getting very upset with Samsung about the rumored launch of Galaxy S4 revision with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 CPU and LTE-A support.
As one recent Galaxy S4 buyer put it:
“I might have not purchased the Galaxy S4 and waited for the newest model (the Galaxy S4 Advanced LTE network) if I knew my smartphone did not run on the LTE Advanced network”
And he is right.
Which, in light of slower than expected worldwide SGS4 sales, is rather unfortunate for Samsung. And may further add to the problems its latest flagship is facing, by slowing sales down even more in Sammy’s home market.
