Brown Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 available in the US now

Earlier today, Samsung announced the upcoming availability of its Galaxy Tab 3 Android tablets in the US – where they’ll go on sale on July 7. The company has confirmed the existence of the tablets not just in white, but also in brown – we had already seen them in this color thanks to some leaked photos.

In addition to confirming the new color for the Galaxy Tab 3 family, Samsung has also started selling a brown Galaxy Note 8.0 – only in the US for now.

You can get the brown Note 8.0 from Amazon, Best Buy, BuyDig, or B&H PhotoVideo. Just like the white one, it costs $399.99 (16GB model, Wi-Fi only).

Unlike the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and Tab 3 10.1 (which run Android 4.2.2), the Galaxy Note 8.0 still comes with Android 4.1. Sure enough, it will be updated to the newer version of Jelly Bean sometime later this year.

A red edition of the Note 8.0 could be released at some point, too, but this hasn’t been confirmed yet.
