T-Mobile Sony Xperia Z and Nokia Lumia 925 release dates leak
It’s been more than a month since Nokia unveiled its first aluminum-clad Windows Phone, the Lumia 925. And ever since then we’ve known that this nice looking handset would be headed to T-Mobile at some point.
And it’s been clear right from the start that the US carrier on which the Sony Xperia Z would get a launch was T-Mobile. The magenta network even confirmed that much a few days ago, finally making things official. What it didn’t do, though, was say anything about when the Xperia Z would arrive in its stores. Or the Lumia 925, for that matter.
Well, thanks to a leaked document that was sent to TmoNews, we now know that both devices should be released on July 17. That means you still have some waiting to do, but at least you know exactly how much now. That is, if this turns out to have been real, and if things don’t change in the meantime. Let’s hope not.
Also on July 17 the T-Mobile 768 will see the light of day. At the moment, it’s unclear what this is exactly, but it may be an own-brand device manufactured by Huawei or ZTE.
The Nokia Lumia 925 is rumored to be priced at $99.99 upfront, followed by 24 monthly payments of $20. The “full price” will thus be $579.99, which is in line with every other high-end device T-Mobile currently sells. So no surprises there. Unfortunately, there’s no word on the pricing for the Xperia Z just yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
