Motorola Droid Ultra Maxx probably pictured. Moto X won’t be part of Verizon’s new Droid line
It looks like one of Verizon’s upcoming Motorola Droid smartphones has been pictured before its official announcement (as it often happens with unannounced products).
EVleaks has posted a photo that reportedly shows the “Droid Maxx.”. We don’t know if this is the final name of the handset, but we recently heard that Verizon would launch no less than four new Droid-branded devices made by Motorola: Droid Ultra (model number XT1080), Droid Ultra Maxx (XT1080M), Droid M Ultra, and Droid Ultra Mini (XT1030).
So what we have here must be the Droid Ultra Maxx. Design-wise, this is certainly in line with previously released Droids. We can even see the familiar Kevlar texture at the bottom of the handset.
Unfortunately, details on the specs of the Droid Ultra Maxx are completely missing for now. But we should expect a huge battery on the back (since the Droid Razr Maxx HD, currently sold by Verizon for $199 on contract, comes with a 3,300 mAh battery).
Hopefully, Motorola and Verizon will officially announce their new handsets soon.
