More Verizon Motorola Droid Ultra images show up – now in black
It turns out that the white Motorola Droid Ultra that appeared in a leaked photo earlier today was the real deal.
EVleaks (well known for many, many accurate leaks) has just posted press images of the Droid Ultra via TheUnlockr – in black. And, sure enough, this resembles the white version of the handset.
Reportedly, the new Droid (model number XT1080) has a 10MP “RGBC” rear camera, which seemingly shoots images faster, and makes them look better in “more diverse environments.” The back and bottom of the Droid Ultra are protected by Kevlar fiber (familiar to anyone who’s seen the older Motorola Droids).
Other features might include: a Full HD display of around 5 inches, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, and 2GB of RAM. Android 4.3 Jelly Bean may be on the device from day one – that’s just my guess.
The Droid Ultra could be announced by Motorola and Verizon on July 11, alongside the Droid Ultra Maxx (XT1080M) and Droid Ultra Mini (XT1030). Apart from coming in black and white, it’s going to have a red edition, too.
As for the (already confirmed) Moto X phone, this should be also released by Verizon – as a separate device – but most probably later than the new Droid series. We’ll keep you posted.
