Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, Tab 3 8.0 and Tab 3 10.1 available in the US now
Samsung’s new Galaxy Tab 3 tablets have been available for pre-sale in the US since June 25, and now customers can actually (and finally) buy them.
As previously reported, only the Wi-Fi models are available for the beginning: Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 SM-T210, Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 SM-T310, and Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 GT-P5210. Prices go up as the screen size goes up, so the Tab 3 7.0 costs $199.99, the Tab 3 8.0 can be yours for $299.99, while the Tab 3 10.1 costs $399.99. Color choices include white and brown.
As their prices suggest, the new Samsung tablets aren’t really high-end. The $199 model features a 7 inch display with 1024 x 600 pixels, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (upgradable to 4.2 and beyond), 3.2MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory, MicroSD card support, and a 4,000 mAh battery. The Tab 3 8.0 comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, an 8 inch display (800 x 1280 pixels), 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 1.5GB of RAM, dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 16GB of expandable internal memory, and a 4,450 mAh battery. Finally, the GT-P5210 sports a 10.1 inch display with 1280 x 800 pixels, featuring Android 4.2, 3MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, dual-core 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, MicroSD card support, and a 6,800 mAh battery.
