Sprint HTC 8XT will be available on July 19 for $99.99
Sprint finally made its move into the Windows Phone 8 world last month, when it announced its first two devices to be powered by Microsoft’s latest mobile operating system. And today the carrier was kind enough to give us availability information on one of those.
We’re talking about the HTC 8XT here, which is essentially a slightly upgraded version of the HTC 8X that’s now getting more than a bit long in the tooth. The HTC 8XT comes with a 4.3-inch 480×800 touchscreen, an 8 MP rear camera, a 1.6 MP front-facing camera, a dual-core 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, microSD card support, all the usual connectivity options (including 4G LTE, naturally), and a 1,800 mAh battery.
The 8XT will be in stores next Friday, on July 19. You’ll be able to pick one up for $99.99 (after a $50 mail-in rebate) if you agree to sign the necessary two-year contract with the carrier.
Sprint hasn’t yet said anything about when we might see the Samsung Ativ S Neo in retail outlets – that’s the other Windows Phone 8 device that the carrier unveiled in June. Obviously though, we’ll let you know when we find out more about it.
