Motorola X finally shows its back
The Motorola X is probably the most hotly anticipated device of the moment, of those that haven’t been officially announced yet. And with Samsung and HTC already having their respective flagships for this part of the year out, what do you expect? The hype is amplified by the fact that this is said to be the first Moto handset thought up and designed entirely after Google became the phone maker’s owner.
A few weeks ago we saw a picture showing us the front of the X, but maybe you just had to know what its back will look like too. Well then, here you go:
The Motorola X has been rumored to be extremely customizable, at least in terms of colors and looks. This black version will probably end up as one of the ‘standard’ ones that you’ll be able to pick up from brick-and-mortar stores. If you feel more colorful, or want the back engraved somehow, then you’ll need to order online and wait a few days until your X is custom made for you (or its back cover at least).
What we can see is a smartphone that’s rather thin at the edges, but quite bulky around the middle (where the camera, flash, Motorola logo, and 3.5 mm headset jack are). This gives us hope that Motorola’s been able to fit a bigger battery than what we see today in mainstream smartphones. And this design will surely make the Moto X easy to hold.
