Motorola X (for Rogers) shows up on video, will be launched in August. Verizon’s version also pictured
We’ve seen the upcoming Motorola X phone in lots of images in the past few weeks, but never in a video. Well, thanks to Rogers, the largest Canadian mobile carrier, we now have a clear look at the handset.
Rogers has shot a video presentation of the Moto X, and although this hasn’t been officially posted anywhere, it’s already on YouTube.
The video was first uploaded by a Google+ Ukrainian user here (via Ausdroid). This is certainly a legit video, and it’s showcasing some of the capabilities of Moto X, including voice commands, an always-on “Active Updates” feature, and a really fast camera.
According to the video, the Moto X will be available in Canada exclusively at Rogers starting “this August”, in black and white.
Meanwhile, Android Central has unveiled a photo of the Moto X for Verizon. This doesn’t look different from the handset seen in the video, and neither from what was previously pictured. It looks like the smartphone doesn’t run Android 4.2.2 – so it might come with Android 4.3 out of the box.
Most probably, the Moto X will be released in the US in August, too. And not just by Verizon, but also by AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile. We’ll bring more details as we get them.
