Samsung Galaxy Note III (SM-N900) and new Google Nexus 7 get certified in Indonesia
Two upcoming Android devices (that will certainly receive a lot of attention when launched) have been certified by Indonesia’s Postel recently: Samsung Galaxy Note III, and Google’s next-generation Nexus 7 tablet.
Unfortunately, the Indonesian certification does not provide new details on what the devices will offer. But it can be seen as a confirmation that they are coming soon.
The Samsung Galaxy Note III – model number SM-N900 – could be announced on September 4, during a pre-IFA 2013 event. Its rumored features include a 5.7 inch Full HD display, quad-core or eight-core CPU, 3GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera (or 8MP, on some versions), and a large battery.
As for the next-generation Google Nexus 7, this has (at least) two model numbers: Asus K008, and Asus K009. The former should be the Wi-Fi-only version, while the latter is the LTE-ready one. The new Nexus might be officially unveiled before the end of this month. It will come with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor – unlike the first-generation Nexus 7, which features an Nvidia Tegra 3 CPU. That aside, the new tablet should offer a 7 inch display (of unknown resolution), a narrower bezel, Android 4.3 (which is yet to be announced), a 1.2MP front-facing camera, 5MP rear camera, and a 3,950 mAh battery.
