HTC One Mini said to arrive in the UK on August 9
The HTC One Mini is the Taiwanese company’s response to the Galaxy S4 Mini, and we’re hoping it will finally get official soon. We’ve previously heard that the not-so-diminutive smartphone would be launched by O2 in Germany on August 3, and new information now pegs the release date in the UK as being just a few days later than that.
According to @vizileaks, a Twitter account that accurately leaked stuff about the Nokia Lumia 1020 in the past, the HTC One Mini should land in the UK on August 9.
That’s unfortunately all the new information we get this time around. No pricing details to speak of, so we still have to wait in order to find out whether the One Mini will end up being cheaper than the rather expensive Galaxy S4 Mini. The best case scenario here is that this will happen and bring down the price of the Galaxy S4 Mini with it. Of course, we could be looking at another thing entirely, with HTC pricing the One Mini very close to Samsung’s competitor. But we’re betting that the Taiwanese company is so starved for sales at this point that it might want to actually compete on price. We’ll let you know more the minute we do.
