Verizon’s Motorola Droid Ultra, Maxx and Mini will probably be announced on July 23
Lately, we’ve heard so many things about a series of new Motorola Droid smartphones that they have to be unveiled soon. And it looks like they will. Verizon has scheduled a press event for July 23, when it’s going to announce “the next generation of one of its most popular family of devices.”
We all know that the Droid family has been very successful since the very beginning at Verizon, so it’s almost certain that new Droids are going to be showcased at the event.
The Motorola Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx, and Droid Mini have all appeared in photos recently, and it makes sense for us to expect them at the July 23 event.

The rumored features of the Droid Ultra include a Full HD display, quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, and 2GB of RAM. The Droid Maxx should be similar, but with a larger battery. All the new Droids will have Kevlar fiber on the back (and bottom).
Another new high-end smartphone that’s headed to Verizon is the HTC One, which could go on sale in August. However, this will not be part of the Droid series. The upcoming Motorola X is in the same situation: it won’t have any traces of Droid branding.
