Google’s new Nexus 7 appears in press images. Best Buy could launch it on July 30
Last we heard, Staples was planning to release the yet to be announced next-gen Nexus 7 on July 31. Now, a newly-leaked document has it that the tablet will be on sale at Best Buy one day earlier, on July 30.
According to said document (received by Phone Arena), the 16GB edition of the second generation Nexus 7 will cost $229 – just as previously rumored. The 32GB model will be a little bit more expensive: $269.
Everyone is expecting the new Nexus 7 to be officially unveiled by Google this week, on July 24. If all the details uncovered until now are accurate, the tablet will feature a 7 inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) display, 5MP rear camera, 1.2MP front-facing camera, quad-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm processor, wireless charging capabilities, and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Like the original Nexus 7, this one is also manufactured by Asus.
Update: the first press images of the new Nexus have just hit the Web coming from EVleaks. There’s nothing surprising about them, of course:
Later this year, possibly in October, Google should also announce a new Nexus smartphone. Like the Nexus 4, this will reportedly be made by LG. It should be based on the upcoming G2 flagship, which will be officially announced on August 7. So it will probably have a 5.2 inch Full HD screen, and a quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU clocked at 2.3 GHz.
