Nokia Lumia 729 for Verizon purportedly pictured in leaked press renders
Verizon apparently can’t have enough Windows Phones these days. Specifically, Nokia Windows Phones. The Lumia 729 is said to be the next one on the carrier’s list.
The Lumia 729 should be a midrange offering, just like its number implies. What you see below are purportedly a couple of leaked renders depicting this Verizon-exclusive device. That said, Verizon’s logo is missing so either these aren’t finalized renders, or something fishy’s going on (since the alternative, namely that Big Red would agree to not slapping its logo on a handset, seems extremely unlikely).
If it is real, the Nokia Lumia 729 may replace the Lumia 822 in Verizon’s portfolio, or it may even be sold alongside it and the Lumia 928. This Lumia 729 features the PureView logo on the back, so it might get a better than average camera, but Nokia has essentially emptied the PureView name of all its meaning (if it ever had any) by putting it on a midranger. Or who knows, maybe this Lumia 729 will have a very impressive camera… but probably not.
Unfortunately no details about specs have been leaked alongside the image, so we can’t tell you what will be inside this phone just yet. Stick around though, and we’ll let you know when we find out more.
