HTC One to be released by Verizon on August 15?

In case you’re waiting for Verizon to launch the HTC One, it looks like that will not happen tomorrow (August 1), as previously rumored.

Droid Life has received a document which suggests the handset will be released later next month, on August 15.

There’s still no word on how much the One will cost at Verizon. However, prices are likely to start at $199 on contract (for the 32GB version).

Verizon HTC One launch Aug 15

As mentioned several times before, Verizon is the last major US carrier to offer the HTC One. The handset’s been available Stateside since April, so the excitement surrounding it has certainly diminished. Moreover, with the launch of Motorola’s new Droids, plus the upcoming Moto X, there may not be too many Verizon customers to really want the One.

Still, the HTC One remains a very nice smartphone – with its aluminum body, 4.7 inch Super LCD3 Full HD screen, 4MP Ultrapixel rear camera, and lots of other desirable features.
