BlackBerry Z10 Porsche Design edition pictures leaked
The Z10 isn’t really selling that well, but this fact apparently won’t stop BlackBerry from releasing a Porsche Design version of its current all-touch flagship. This of course is nothing new – the Canadian company has previously churned out the BlackBerry Porsche Design P’9981, which was a redesigned Bold 9900 at heart. And it came at a premium price.
The new Z10-based Porsche Design phone will be called P’9982, and like its predecessor of sorts it will apparently sport a unique UI that isn’t ‘stock’ BlackBerry OS 10. Obviously, since the Porsche name is involved, we’re expecting this to be rather expensive too (over $2,000).
What you see above are images showing the upcoming model, and you can clearly notice the Z10’s legacy in there. However, the design is rather different in many parts, and the materials used are premium as you should expect in this price range.
This will clearly be a niche device that won’t have any mass market appeal, and launching devices with mass market appeal should probably be BlackBerry’s main priority right now given the issues it’s had in bouncing back into the spotlight of the smartphone world.
