Moto X not launching in the UK, and neither in other European countries?
Yesterday, when Motorola announced the brand new Moto X, it only named three markets where the smartphone would be released: US, Canada, and Latin America.
Of course, the company also mentioned that details on global availability would be unveiled at a later date. However, it looks like Europe won’t be among the regions where the Moto X is going to be sold.
Pocket-lint has received “official confirmation” that the new X phone will no be launched in the UK. A Motorola spokesperson reportedly said that this “doesn’t mean that Europe is not a key priority for Motorola.” There will be future Motorola handsets released here, all from the same family as the Moto X.
Until we hear more about this, we must remind you that the Moto X will debut in the US and Canada starting late August. All major US carriers will sell the handset – for prices starting at $199.99 on contract (16GB model).
The Moto X runs near stock Android 4.2.2 (obviously upgradeable to 4.3 and newer versions), and features: a 4.7 inch AMOLED HD display, Touchless Control, LTE, HSPA, NFC, dual-core 1.7GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, 2MP front-facing camera, 10MP ClearPixel rear camera, and a 2,200 mAh battery that can last “all day and into the night.”
