Moto X pre-orders start at US Cellular, priced from $124.99, comes with free Bluetooth headset
The Moto X finally got official yesterday. And while it’s going to be sold directly by three of the so-called ‘big four’ carriers (Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint), a smaller carrier is in fact the first one to start taking pre-orders for Motorola’s newest smartphone.
We’re talking about US Cellular, which was also on the list of carriers to get dibs on the Moto X. The handset is now up for pre-order over there for the already announced price of $199.99 with a new two-year contract.
However, there’s a twist. If you’re a new customer, you’ll get a $75 ‘switcher bonus’ in the form of a debit card. So you could say you’re down to paying $124.99 for the phone. But that’s not 100% accurate, since you’ll have to pony up a $35 activation fee. In the end though, you’re left with an actual price of $159.99 for the Moto X, which is certainly better than anticipated.
But wait, there’s more! If you pre-order, you’ll also get a free Motorola Bluetooth headset (while supplies last). The Moto X is available at US Cellular in white and black, as expected.
No exact release date is tacked onto the pre-order page, so we’re left guessing for now. If you want to be among the first US Cellular customers to experience the X, then make sure you go there and pre-order one as soon as possible.
