Moto X to be available at all carriers on August 23
The Motorola X has been rumored to land at Verizon on August 23. This has so far happened twice already, once last month and another time yesterday, through a purported leaked inventory listing. So at this point the Moto X launch over at Big Red seems set for that day. Of course, things may change since we’re still a couple of weeks away, but that’s how things seem to be.
But what about all the other carriers that will sell the Moto X? So far we haven’t heard any specific release dates from any of them. However, an AdAge report uncovered by Android Authority has it from “people familiar with the matter” that August 23 is, in fact, the release date for the Moto X. Meaning – it will be out at all carriers on that day.
So, regardless of whether you like to do business with Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, or T-Mobile, you’ll be able to purchase a Moto X on August 23. The customization options will be exclusive to AT&T until November, and this particular carrier is also expected to prominently feature the smartphone in its stores.
So if you’re after the Moto X you only have to wait a little over two weeks from this point on, at least if this report turns out to be true.
