Apple’s new iPhone 5S to be announced on September 10?

September is almost certainly the month when Apple will unveil its next-generation iPhone (or iPhones), but there’s no official word on an exact date yet. Still, according to All Things D and its unnamed source, we’re going to see at least one new iOS smartphone being announced on September 10.

The source didn’t provide any other details, so we’re left with what’s been rumored until now. The new iPhone could be called iPhone 5S. It might have a 4 inch display (like the iPhone 5), or a larger, 4.3 inch one. Its rear camera should have a dual LED flash. It will be an incremental upgrade compared to iPhone 5.

Back in June, a purported photo of the iPhone 5S was uncovered by MacRumors, showing the handset’s back:

Of course, there’s also the long-rumored cheaper, plastic-made iPhone, which might be called iPhone 5C. However, it’s not clear if this is also expected to be unveiled on September 10. Nevertheless, we’ll find out soon.
