Acer Liquid E2 now available at Three UK, LG Optimus L1 II coming soon
The Acer Liquid E2 is now available for purchase in the UK, if you don’t mind having Three as your operator of choice. This smartphone was announced back in April and like all other Acer handsets before it, it comes with an affordable price tag, decent specs, and a rather eye-catching design.
The Liquid E2 is a key part of Acer strategy that should help it sell 2 million smartphones this year. The device comes with a 4.5-inch 540×960 IPS touchscreen, 42 Mbps HSPA+ support, an 8 MP rear camera with zero shutter lag, a 2 MP front camera, 4 GB of built-in storage space, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM radio, and a microSD card slot. It runs Android Jelly Bean, but which exact version is still unclear (we’re betting on 4.1). Its dimensions are 131x68x10 mm, and it weighs 140 grams.
The Acer Liquid E2 can be yours for free if you get a contract with Three that costs at least £17 per month. For this amount of dough you receive 100 minutes, 5,000 texts, and All-you-can-eat data. There are other options as you can see in the image above.
If Pay as you go is more your thing, you can exit a Three store with a Liquid E2 on hand if you’ve shelled out £149.99.
There’s an even more affordable Android-powered smartphone headed to Three in the near future, though. The LG Optimus L1 II became official only a few days ago, and now the numeric operator has confirmed plans to sell it.
Three will have an exclusive for the white version of the Optimus L1 II, and it will also be “the lead network partner” for the black color.
For now, no actual release date is known, but the Optimus L1 II is definitely coming soon to Three. Expect it to be dirt cheap.
