European LG G2 will have wireless charging capabilities, but not built-in
LG is hoping to sell millions of G2 smartphones around the world – and it most probably will do just tat. However, there’s still about a month (or maybe more) until the company’s new flagship will be available. Until then, you may want to know that the handset won’t have built-in wireless charging capabilities in Europe.
However, Pocket-lint has reportedly confirmed with LG that there will be a separate accessory case, especially made for the G2, which supports wireless charging. Its price and launch date haven’t been unveiled.
In the US, Verizon will sell the G2 with built-in wireless charging capabilities (see here) – and it will be the only US carrier to do that.
Succeeding the Optimus G and Optimus G Pro, the new LG G2 is one of this year’s most advanced smartphones. Its features include Android Jelly Bean, LTE, a 5.2 inch Full HD display, 13MP rear camera, 2GB of RAM, and a quad-core 2.26 GHz Snapdragon 800 processor.
