Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 officially announced for AT&T, Sprint, US Cellular
Samsung has just issued a press release that confirms the upcoming launch of its Galaxy Mega 6.3 in the US (in two color versions: black and white). The giant handset will be available not only via AT&T and US Cellular (as previously rumored), but also via Sprint. All three should start selling the Mega this month. Pricing details have not been unveiled yet.
Touted as “the ideal hybrid mobile device for those who want to experience smartphone portability with the immersive experience of a tablet,” the Galaxy Mega 6.3 sports a 6.3 inch display with 1280 x 720 pixels. It runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean (upgradeable to 4.3), further featuring: LTE connectivity, NFC, 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 1.9MP front-facing camera, dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.7GHz, 1.5GB of RAM, and 8GB / 16GB of expandable memory.
The Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 is already available in Europe and Asia. In Europe, you can get one (unlocked) for around €390 – meaning about $520.
Update: AT&T said that its Galaxy Mega would be released on August 23, costing $149.99 on contract.
