LG G2 arrives at Verizon on September 12, AT&T on September 13
If you’re in the US of A and are anxiously waiting to be able to get your hands on LG’s new G2 superphone, here’s some news for you. Apparently the Korean company’s new flagship Android device will go on sale at the top 2 carriers in mid-September.
Verizon is set to start selling the G2 on September 12, with AT&T following suit just one day later, on September 13. This leaked time frame fits in nicely with LG’s publicized plans to get the G2 out and about in as many countries as possible within eight weeks of its unveiling.
AT&T will start taking pre-orders for the LG G2 on September 3, and those who pre-order will get a free folio case. This information purportedly comes from “sources familiar with LG’s plans” via Android Central.
Unfortunately they didn’t have anything to say about when T-Mobile and Sprint will release the handset. Although it’s going to be more than a month from the announcement, this release time frame is actually quite tight for LG, a company that’s notoriously taken many months to bring new products to the US. But things are changing fast in the mobile world.
These release dates should also ensure that the G2 will be on the market before the Samsung Galaxy Note III, the HTC One Max, and even the new iPhone 5S.
