Nokia Lumia 925 launching at AT&T next month

As hinted earlier this week, Nokia is indeed getting ready to release its Lumia 925 via more US carriers. At the moment, T-Mobile is the only one that’s offering the handset.

Come mid-September, the 925 will also be on sale at AT&T. WPCentral has “confirmed this information with two trusted sources.”

Reportedly, AT&T’s Lumia 925 will be available only in black, costing $99.99 on contract. That’s the same price that AT&T is currently asking for the older Nokia Lumia 920 and, naturally, this will be cheaper once the 925 is released – probably $49.99 on contract.

The 925 has an 8.5mm-thin aluminum body, and features a 4.5 inch PureMotion HD AMOLED display (1280 x 768 pixels), LTE, NFC, 8MP rear camera, 1GB of RAM, and dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor.

Later this year, AT&T should also launch Nokia’s first phablet – a 6 inch device codenamed Bandit, which obviously runs Windows Phone 8. This will likely be expensive, as its rumored features – besides the 6 inch Full HD display – include a quad-core Snapdragon processor and a rear camera of at least 20MP (PureView branding almost certainly included).

All in all, AT&T may end up with a total of 5 Nokia Windows Phone devices in its portfolio, simultaneously: Lumia 920, Lumia 520, Lumia 1020, Lumia 925, and the Bandit phablet. The Lumia 820 was also part of the carrier’s line-up, but it’s no longer available to purchase.
