AT&T Nokia Lumia 925 officially launching on September 13

Today, AT&T has officially announced the Nokia Lumia 925 – a Windows Phone 8 handset that’s currently available in the US only via T-Mobile (which launched it more than a month ago).

The Lumia 925 will cost $99.99 (with a new 2-yr contract agreement) at AT&T. It will be available only starting next month, on September 13, but interested customers can pre-order it as soon as tomorrow, August 28.

The 925 is AT&T’s fifth Nokia Windows Phone 8 device, coming after the Lumia 920, Lumia 820, Lumia 520, and the Lumia 1020 (which is the best among them, featuring a 41MP PureView camera – and costing $299.99 on contract).

“AT&T has sold more Windows Phones than any other US carrier and the Nokia Lumia 925 makes a great addition to our growing portfolio. It packs the outstanding camera performance Nokia is known for with an affordable price point that makes it a solid deal for anyone in the market for a new smartphone,” said Jeff Bradley, Senior Vice President of Devices at AT&T.

After the Lumia 925, the second largest US carrier might also release Nokia’s first phablet – the Bandit (possibly called Lumia 1520). This will obviously be more expensive than the 925, since it’s supposed to be the very first WP8 device to feature a 1080p display and a quad-core processor.
