Nokia’s 6 inch phablet (Lumia 1520 / Bandit) pictured alongside a Lumia 1020?

A couple of days ago, we learned that Nokia’s first phablet – codenamed Bandit – could be officially launched as the Lumia 1520.

Now, an alleged photo of the new device has appeared over at WPCentral. The photo shows what seems to be the Lumia 1520 / Bandit wearing a rear case (possibly one that supports wireless charging). On the left side we can see the Lumia 1020 – Nokia’s flagship camera phone.

Since the Lumia 1520 reportedly has a 6 inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) display, it’s obviously noticeable larger than the Lumia 1020 (which has a 4.5 inch screen).

Running Windows Phone 8 GDR3 (this hasn’t been released yet), the new Nokia device should feature a quad-core Snapdragon processor, a 20MP rear camera that probably uses Nokia’s PureView technology, LTE, and a polycarbonate body.

Nokia Lumia 1520 bandit phablet vs Lumia 1020

Nokia seemingly wants to announce the Lumia 1520 phablet in the second half of September. The company might also introduce its first Windows RT tablet at the same time – a 10.1 inch Full HD device with LTE connectivity.

It’s said that AT&T is already testing the Lumia 1520 / Bandit, and could launch it in the US sometime in November. Pricing details are obviously missing, but the phablet could cost $299 on contract (that’s the same price AT&T is asking for the Lumia 1020).
