LG G2 officially launching this month in the US, Germany
LG’s newest high-end Android smartphone, the G2, is now ready for prime time. The South Korean company has revealed that the handset would be released this month in the US and Germany, with many other markets to follow shortly.
The announcement confirms a previous rumor, which had it that the G2 would be available at Verizon on September 12, and at AT&T on September 13. However, these exact launch dates haven’t been confirmed yet.
Sprint and T-Mobile will probably also want to sell the smartphone.
The G2 is LG’s first handset to have buttons on the back (power button, plus volume keys). It’s certainly a device to check out if you’re in the market for the latest and grestest tech, as its features include: a 5.2 inch True HD IPS+ display with 1920 x 1080 pixels, LTE, NFC, Dolby Mobile sound, 13MP rear camera with OIS and LED flash, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 3,000 mAh battery.
Obviously, LG will showcase the G2 at IFA 2013 later this week. However, since it’s not a newly-announced smartphone, the G2 will be eclipsed (at least when it comes to overall interest) by the likes of Samsung Galaxy Note III and Sony Xperia Z1 – both of which are about to get official tomorrow.
