Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-A launching at Deutsche Telekom (in Germany) soon

Yesterday, Deutsche Telekom announced that it would upgrade its LTE network (in Germany) to LTE-Advanced – which supports download speeds of up to 150Mbps.

According to AllAboutSamsung, the German carrier also said that it would start selling the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-A soon (at the moment, this is available only in South Korea). The S4 LTE-A is pretty much identical to the regular LTE-capable Galaxy S4, but it comes with a faster processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 800.

Reportedly, the current Galaxy S4 LTE, which uses a Snapdragon 600 chipset, will be phased out by Telekom after the S4 LTE-A hits the shelves.

At the moment, Telekom (branded like this since 2010, when it was still called T-Mobile) is the largest mobile operator in Germany.

Later today, Samsung will officially announce at least two new Android devices: the Galaxy Note III and the Galaxy Gear smartwatch. We might also see the rumored Galaxy Note 12.2 tablet (SM-P900 / SM-P905). We will keep you posted.
