Sony Xperia Honami Mini shows up next to the Z1. Xperia M launched in the US
We can now take another look at what’s believed to be a mini version of Sony’s Xperia Z1 smartphone. The front panel of the upcoming handset – let’s call it Honami Mini until its official name is revealed – appeared yesterday on the Web. And today the smartphone has been allegedly pictured next to two (larger) Xperia Z1 units.
Of course, the photo (seen below) could be fake. It shows the back of a Honami Mini in purple (one of the official colors of the Z1).
It’s said that the Honami Mini features a 4.3 inch HD display, 20.7MP rear camera with Sony G Lens, quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 16GB of internal memory, 2GB of RAM, and a 2,400 mAh battery. According to the details found at Chinese portal Digi-wo, the new smartphone will be announced in January 2014 at CES.
In related news, Sony’s affordable Xperia M (unveiled back in June) is now available in the US. Sold for $249.99 (unlocked) via Sony Store, the Xperia M can be purchased in black, white, yellow, or purple.
Running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the Sony Xperia M features a 4 inch display with 854 x 480 pixels, dual-core 1GHz processor, 5MP rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, MicroSD card support, and a 1,750 mAh battery.
