LG Optimus Vu 3 officially debuts in Korea this week
LG has announced that its new Vu 3 is now finally ready to be launched. The device will be available in South Korea starting later this week, on September 27, via all three Korean carriers: SK Telecom, KT, and LG U+.
The Vu 3 has a 5.2 inch display that keeps the same odd 4:3 aspect ratio from the screens of the previous models, but increases the resolution to 1280 × 960 pixels. That aside, its features include a special stylus pen, LTE-Advanced connectivity, a quad-core 2.26 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 13MP rear camera, 2GB of RAM, and a 2,610 mAh battery. The new Vu will run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean for the beginning. I’m pretty sure it will be updated to Android 4.4 KitKat at some point.
As you can see in the last image embedded above, there’s a QuickView case that’s going to be released with the Vu 3.
Weighing 161 grams and measuring 132.1 x 85.6 x 9.4 mm, the LG Vu 3 has three color versions: white, black, and “indigo mint.” LG didn’t unveil its official price. However, we’ve heard that the device will be slightly cheaper than Samsung’s Galaxy Note III.
We don’t know if LG intends to release the Vu 3 globally, but we will let you know when we find out.
