Lumia 1520 and Lumia 2520 to be joined by four other new Nokia products on October 22
Nokia has already announced the world that it would host a major press event next month, on October 22. Naturally, the company didn’t say what it’s going to unveil then. But it will almost certainly present its very first phablet – the Lumia 1520 (codenamed Bandit). We are also expecting to see Nokia’s first Windows RT tablet – the Lumia 2520, aka Sirius.
What’s more, The Verge is now reporting that, according to unnamed people familiar with the matter, Nokia will introduce at least four other new products. A range of new accessories is expected – and one of them should be “pretty special” (we’ve no idea what that could mean).
Both the Lumia 1520 phablet and the Lumia 2520 tablet might be available around the world starting November, including in the US, where AT&T and Verizon are planning to sell hem. The 1520 should have several slightly different versions – for example, Verizon will seemingly sell it as the Lumia 929.
From all the rumors appeared until now, we know that the 1520 should come with a Full HD display, Windows Phone 8 GDR 3, quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, and a 20MP camera with Nokia’s PureView technology. The phablet should have at least three color versions: black, white, and yellow. As for the Lumia 2520 tablet, this reportedly has a 10.1 inch display. Is anyone excited about Nokia’s upcoming WP devices?
