Pantech will announce Vega Note 5.9″ LTE-A phablet on October 10th
Phablets, phablets, phablets. It seems that a day doesn’t go by without someone launching their own phablet, with ever bigger screen.
And for Pantech, 5.6” display on Vega LTE-A is not enough. They have another huge smartphone, now with 5.9” screen, in the works. It’s called Vega Note and will launch in a bit more than a week.
Today Pantech sent out invitations to Korean press for October 10th event, showing an outline of their new, bigger, phablet:
Except for the 5.9” display and stylus, Pantech Vega Note should have specs similar to those of Vega LTE-A:
- Snapdragon 800 2.3 GHz quad-core CPU
- LTE-A support (up to 150 Mbps)
- Android 2.2.2 Jelly Bean OS
- 2 GB of RAM
Vega Note will also come with the next iteration of Pantech’s trackpad/fingerprint sensor on the back. At least that’s what Korean OEM is hinting with the “secret” wax seal and a fingerprint in the corner, according to speculations in Korean press.
