Samsung SM-G910S (possible Galaxy Round with flexible display) gets certified in Korea
Samsung’s first smartphone to feature a flexible OLED display is expected to be officially announced later this week. This should be a version of the Galaxy Note 3 (available around the world since last month). However, the new handset might have a completely different model number, as well as a retail name that doesn’t include “Note.”
Blog of Mobile (in Japanese) has discovered a Samsung SM-G910S, which has been approved recently by South Korea’s KCC and RRA (see here). The G910S has LTE and NFC, runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, and seems to feature a 5.7 inch Full HD flexible display, as well as a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor. The handset could be called Samsung Galaxy Round when it becomes commercially available.
LG has already announced that it, too, would have a smartphone sporting a flexible OLED display – but this is expected to be introduced sometime in November. We’ll let you know if Samsung manages to beat LG to the punch with its Galaxy Round.
