HTC One Max is huge and heavy. Full specs confirmed
We already knew that upcoming HTC One max will be a big phone. With 5.9” display, it can not be anything but huge.
But its still hard to appreciate One Max size until you see it live, in someone’s hands. Well, now you can:
In addition to this live pic, full specs of HTC One Max have been confirmed again. They include:
- 5.9” Full HD 1920×1080 display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 1.7 GHz Quad-core CPU
- 2 GB of RAM
- Android 4.3, Sense 5.5
- Ultra-pixel camera, 2mpx front camera
- 3.300 mAh battery
- 16-64GB of built-in storage, micro-SD slot
- Dimensions: 164.5×82.5×10.29mm
- Weight: 217 gr (!)
Not many surprises here, except for its weight. 217gr is a lot – Galaxy Note 3, for example, weighs only 168gr, 6.4″ Sony Xperia Z Ultra – 212gr. That machined metal chassis should be real heavy.
A number of Chinese sites report that HTC One Max prices will start at 4999 Yuan, which translates to around $820 or 603 Euro. It sounds like a lot, but is actually cheaper than Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3, which officially goes for 5399-5799 RMB over there. Whether the price difference, slightly bigger display, fingerprint sensor and better build-quality/design are preferable to faster CPU (S800 vs S600) and more RAM (3 vs 2GB) in Samsung’s phablet – that’s up to you.
HTC will announce One Max next week, most likely on October 15th, and should start shipping it about 10 days later.
