HTC One Max finally announced, will be launched globally this month

HTC has officially introduced its long-rumored One Max phablet – one day earlier than we’d expected.

With its 5.9 inch Full HD display, the One Max is the largest Android handset HTC has ever made, measuring 164.5 x 82.5 x 10.29 mm, and weighing 217 grams. It runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Sense 5.5, and features: a Fingerprint Scanner on the back (allowing users “to lock or unlock the screen and quickly launch up to three favorite applications by assigning an individual finger to each”), LTE, NFC, UltraPixel rear camera, 2.1MP front-facing camera, quad-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 3,300 mAh battery.

The One Max will come with 16GB or 32GB onboard memory, plus 50GB of free storage space on Google Drive, and MicroSD card support.

“The addition of the HTC One max means that we now have an HTC One phone for everyone. The family has been built on quality and game-changing innovations and the HTC One max is certainly no exception. The upgrade to HTC Sense 5.5 will provide our most amazing mobile experience yet, with the HTC One max delivering the size and power required to do everything you want, and more, without compromise,” declared HTC CEO Peter Chou.

According to HTC, the One Max will be launched around the world “from mid – end October.” In the US, Verizon might be the first carrier to sell the device – but this hasn’t been confirmed yet.
