Sony Xperia Z1, Xperia Z Ultra (with LTE) and SmartWatch 2 available in the US
Although Sony doesn’t have big plans regarding the US smartphone market, it’s been selling various handsets for some time there. Today, the company has started offering two of its newest flagship Android devices, unlocked, via its US store: the Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z Ultra.
Sporting a 5 inch Full HD display, the Xperia Z1 is dustproof and waterproof (IP58), and features: Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, 20.7 MP rear camera with Sony G Lens, quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable internal memory, and a 3,000 mAh battery. Later this year, the Xperia Z1 should be also released by T-Mobile in the US.
The Xperia Z Ultra is larger than the Z1, coming with a 6.44 inch Full HD display. It, too, is waterproof and dustproof, featuring Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, an 8MP rear camera, quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, MicroSD card support, and a 3,050 mAh battery.
Also available starting today is the Sony SmartWatch 2. This can be purchased here for $199.99.
You’ll notice that all three new Sony products only have Pre-order buttons next to them. However, deliveries are expected to be made “in 1-2 days.”
