5 inch HTC Desire 709d announced
Shortly after announcing the One Max – its first phablet – now HTC has introduced another new and large Android handset: the HTC Desire 709d. While it isn’t as huge as the 5.9 inch One Max, the HTC Desire 709d is still pretty big. It sports a 5 inch display (960 x 540 pixels), measuring 145.5 x 72 x 10.3 mm – so it’s bigger than the original HTC One (4.7 inch display, 137.4 x 68.2 x 9.3 mm).
The Desire 709d runs Android 4.12 Jelly Bean, and features: HTC BoomSound, 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 2.1MP front-facing camera, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory, MicroSD card support, and a 2,100 mAh battery. The handset can be seen at HTC China’s official website. For now, there is no word if it’s going to be released in other markets.
As for the HTC One Max, this will be launched in China on October 23. It’s going to be sold via all three Chinese carriers: China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom.
